RCI Implimentation
What is RCI
RCI is a specification developed by rm-rf to control non-MIDI
controllable software via a hardware interface. The hardware interface sends the information to a serial port where
the software can read the information and use it. RCI is normally one way only (send only).
RCIm
RCIm is an extended use of RCI by using MIDI instead
to make it more widley usable.
Dual RCI
Some applications require sending and receving data to the hardware devices. Dual RCI was developed to help developers
with Basic Stamps and Basic modules to use send and recieve at the same time.
RCI
RCI is currently under development. The specification will contain a way that data needs to be transmitted.
RCI Implimentation under SoundRack
SoundRack will allow for RCI to control the patchbay and hopefully other "rack devices"
MIDI
MIDI Implimentation under SoundRack
MIDI will be included within time depending on the sucess of the RCI system.
